      Hey Guys.

So the trailer for my Street Fighter travel doco is finally here:

      Here's the Blurb:
      I'm CptMunta

This is the trailer for the my upcoming youtube video series, getting an inside look at Street Fighter communities around the world.

I was going on holiday with my wife and baby daughter and was going to be with out my console arcade stick and copy of SSF4 so I decided to get in touch with some of the Street Fighting locals in each country we were visiting, get some games in and learn more about each scene. After I saw how many people got back to me I decided to create this insiders guide to playing street fighter around the world. Like a world warrior even ;)

My goals were to get some inside knowledge on how each country built their scene, what playstyles are common in that country and how the Renaissance in Fighting games have affected each scene.

I went to local weekly meetups, ranbats, people's houses, arcades and even major tournaments to get an inside look as to what keeps these communities growing. I shot it all on my crappy cybershot digital camera. I got lots of interviews with some great people who are doing their best to contribute to their local scenes.

Fighting game scenes featured in this documentary include:

      Hamburg
      Berlin
      Amsterdam/and most of Holland
      London
      Tokyo
      New Zealand

Part 1 should be up sometime next month. This is just a taster of what will be on offer over the next few months. Hope you guys enjoy :)

Thanks for all your time German players! 10 mins isn't looking long enough for each segment, I may have to make some "Bonus Stage" Segments to get more interviews crammed in. Either that or move to viemo or something yuck! Hope you guys performed well in the October tourney. I heard Mr Broken aced marvel and a few of you guys that I met and interviewed did pretty well as well.

I've just started editing the Hamburg and Berlin segments. Not as much match footage as there is talking but that's kind what I was going for anyway. I'll post links in this thread once I start uploading the episodes.

      Cheers Guys

      CptMunta

P.S: I did okay at the Dutchnoobz tourney here's an interview with those guys:
    • Dieses Video enthält Content von UMG. Es ist in deinem Land nicht verfügbar.

The video is not available for me (or us Germans?) because of some UMG content (maybe background music?). Could you please upload the trailer to rapidshare or something similar? 2nd video works though.

"Say what you will about video games being a massive time sink, but the one cool thing about offline fighting game competition is that it’s an inherently social activity. You can’t go to an arcade, or a local game night, or a tournament without meeting new people, making friends, forming rivalries, dealing with pressure, and learning things about yourself."
    • Part 1: Hamburg is done and will posted up a few weeks after Redrappers excellent Doco on SoCal is finished. :D Part 2 is almost done: Berlin.

Eight: You, King Titos (AKA Black), Cyber Hippie and Bier Clau Miester are in Part 1. My wife loved it! As well as all the local fighting game players at our weekly get togethers :)

Berlin Calling: Shall I list you as French? Is that Ok I have alont of you chatting about france and the European scene in General. Mr Broken your in it too as well as Klaus.

Street Fighter IV FightClubNRW, I've put some of your FFM Rumble footage in the doc to illustrate some points. I hope that's okay. I'll also link your excellent documetry in the description for German players to look at. It's really well done. There's an interview with Thompson from Dutchnoobz2 tourney going in part 3. I've also used some random footage from SFFM all will be linked in the description.

I hope this series spreads the word about the fighting game scene in Europe and Germany you guys have a pretty awesome scene. be cool to for people from overseas to a bit of insight into it. :)
    • Hey Guys :)

Here's Episode 1 of 3 Green Bars: World Warriors Street Fighter Travel Log.

This Episode was filmed in Hamburg in August on my trusty crusty little digital camera and covers Hamburg's Street Fighter/fighting game Community. There are some links for German players or tourists visiting that may want to get into some offline casuals and take part in strong German tourney scene. Hopefully this inspires players to start their own small scenes or to go out and get involved in their community, travel to nearby tournaments or casuals, or even hold their own :)

Part 2 should be up next week (Hopefully) and it covers Berlin, I chat to Mr Broken Germany's number 1 Marvel vs Capcom 2 player, Pedram Germany's top 3rd Strike player as well as Berlin Calling a french Super SF4 player living in Berlin how gives some insight into the European scene as a whole.

      Enjoy :)

    • Ok almost done with Berlin. If I get it done in time I might be able to send out a pm preview to everyone who makes it in. The sound quality was a bit jacked so I've only got interviews with Mr Broken Berlin Calling and Pedram. With a funny cameo with EternalBomb. (EternalBomb is Vulcan right?) And of course Justin Wong (Cheers Mr Broken :) ) I've also corrected Mr Broken's champ status in his infobar so it only says MvC2 champ to avoid confusion. I'll mention Tsunami being current champ in the description. But 3rd in Cvs2, IK plus and Marvel is pretty badass. Also got a tiny bit of New Zealand 3rd Strike footage in there.
