World Heroes and Samurai Showdown Revival
SNK Playmore to bring classic fighters to the PS2.

June 24, 2005 - Classic Neo Geo fighters World Heroes and Samurai Shodown may be returning to the PlayStation 2. A recent press release from SNK Playmore regarding the company's new Neo Geo Online Collection series of classic revivals mentions that both series will be included in the collection. The press release provides no specifics beyond this.
The Neo Geo Online Collection brings back classic Neo Geo fighters to the PlayStation 2, adding Online play, but keeping everything else unaltered. The first entry in the series, Mark of the Wolves, is set for release on 6/30. In addition to this, Last Blade 1&2 (bundled together as one title), The King of Fighters Nesutsu Version and The King of Fighters Orochi Version have been officially announced.
Fans of Neo Geo gaming in general (there was a time when the Neo Geo had action games that weren't named Metal Slug) should prepare for some slightly bad news. According to the press release, the Neo Geo Online Collection will focus on fighters that have yet to be released for the PS2. This seems to suggest that classics like Magician Lord and Viewpoint are out of contention.
Once SNK Playmore goes about revealing which version of Samurai Shodown and World Heroes will make it into the collection, we'll be sure and pass on the information to you.

Lieber sollte mal eine Fatal Fury Collection (zu der es bereits Gerüchte gibt) offiziell angekündigt werden.

The series Art of Fighting will make it also the object of a new exit in the series of plays NEOGEO Online Collection, these adaptations PS2 of old glories SNK, with an on-line mode. At a few days out Japanese of the first volume of the series, Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves, SNK Playmore indeed reconsidered the planning of exit of the other bearings, and certain Ryûko No Ken - the original name of Art of Fighting - came to slip into the list for an exit in 2005, in Japan. The title being provisional, one is unaware of for the moment if it acts of a compilation, with the image of Last Blade 1 & 2, or if it acts of an adaptation of an episode in particular, even of anything else. SNK Playmore also indicated that Last Blade 1 & 2 and compilation Orochi de King of Fighters, joining together the shutters ' 95, ' 96 and ' 97, will leave both this autumn to Japan.
