ESWC Super Street Fighter 4 rules
The first two rounds of the SSF4 ESWC will be a round robin competition.
• Round 1: The 16 players will be placed into four groups, so four players in each cluster. All of the players in a group will play each other in a best of three matches format and the two top finishers from each group will advance.
• Round 2: The 8 remaining players will be placed into two groups with four players each. Again, the four players in each group will play each other in a best of three matches format and the two top finishers from each group will advance.
• Final Round: The final 4 players will be set into a single elimination bracket. The matches will continue to be a best of three format. A tie-breaker will be held for the losers of the first round of the finals to decide the 3rd place winner.
Note: The best of three match format is best of 3 rounds, best of three total games, much like EVO and other major tournaments except this is a round robin set up until the final four players are left.
